Dangerous Afternoon Thunder Storm Shit NYC Weather

A cold front will move into the Interstate-95 corridor with heavy rain and severe storms possible.

Because of the heavy rain and a threat of flash flooding, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch from Philadelphia to New York City to Hartford, Connecticut; Boston and into Portland, Maine.

Storms lined up in western New York and Pennsylvania early Tuesday.

Entirely as the evening gust hour nears in the Northeast, strapping to difficult storms will exploit with detrimental winds, approximately overweight hail and level a sporadic chance for an isolated tornado in New England.

The futurecast model shows severe storms lined up right along I-95.

Thunderstorms expected to strike starting early as Tuesday morning but they are mainly expected to hit after 3 pm, the weather report says.

The storm could produce “gusty winds and heavy rain” with more than an inch of rainfall expected to fall from 2 to 8 pm according to weather service’s forecast.

“Any thunderstorms will have potential to bring torrential downpours with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour,” the weather said in hazardous weather outlook.

A chance of rainfall expected to loom through Tuesday evening and into early Wednesday morning. The flash flood watch will be in effect until 10 pm.

The storm will come on a steamy day with an expected high temperature near 88 degrees and hit index values as 96, the wealth services says, the heat advisory is in effect until 6 pm when the temperature will be about 80 degrees, the forecast shows.

Sunny sky and high temperatures in the mid- to upper 80 degrees are expected for the rest of week.

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3 pm some of the storm expected to produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy with a higher near 88. Heat index values as high as 96. South wind 5 to 8 mph. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesdaynight :

Showers and thunderstorms mainly before midnight. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between the three quarters and one Inch possible.

Wednesday:

Sunny with a high near 87. North wind 6 to 8 mph

Thursday :

Sunny, with a high near 84. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph

Thursdaynight :

Mostly clear, with a low around 69.

Friday :

Sunny, with a higher near 85.

Fridaynight :

Partly cloudy with low around 69.
