Kawhi Leonard Trading To Raptors For Demar?

The Kawhi Leonard tale has finally reached the well-deserved ending it requires.

The Toronto Raptors have been trading their well-known guard DeMar DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs in return for Leonard, the former two-time Kia Defensive Player of the Year. The Spurs player Danny Green has also planned to head towards the Raptors with Leonard while the Spurs get DeRozan, center Jakob Poeltl and a protected first-round pick in 2019.

The Spurs and Raptors have both very formally made an announcement on Wednesday. The Spurs team coach who is Popovich has told the media later about other redressals.

Popovich thinks it will be very fruitful if he actually moves to Toronto for his career as his career will be the benefit for the better. He also added that this trading will be even better for the team and the whole sports industry will be benefitting from this whole new idea and renovation.

“Kawhi will never stop being the great player that he is but we are also thrilled to work with DeMar”.

“Getting back an amazing NBA player and just the best all-rounder to exist, we are way too excited”.

To bring up the trading of Green, Popovich has said that he is a good player as well, and he is going to be one of Toronto’s most prized possessions when it comes to basketball.

A recent report by ESPN said that this person is a seven-year forward is considering participating in the minicamp next week.

As per ESPN’s advocate Adrian Wojnarowski, the team’s Raptors and Spurs had been discussing a major trade for a while now. Overnight, the entire Toronto Raptors’ franchise was overhauled.

The Raptors will also receive Danny Green in exchange for Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick, the team confirmed just after noon. Some believed it. Many, many more did not. If you doubt this, check Masai Ujiri’s mentions on Twitter. He’s taking a beating.

The issue and this is going to be the issue until probably next summer, is how do you convince a man who reportedly has no interest in joining your team to stay once he can leave via free agency. Leonard, again according to multiple reports, has every intention of signing with the Los Angeles Lakers at his first opportunity. It’s where (again reportedly) he wanted to be dealt in the first place.

There is no question Ujiri has put himself squarely in the crosshairs with this one.

ujiri has never managed with the intent to curry favor with the fanbase, but sending out the guy who is the most popular player to ever play here (with more to be announced yet) is an entirely different level of that.

DeRozan , the man whose pinned tweet begins “Don’t worry, I got us” in response to the departure of the last franchise player when Chris Bosh took his talents to Miami to join LeBron James, had no desire to leave Toronto and now feels betrayed. He took to his Instagram in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to express himself. “Be told one thing & the outcome another. Can’t trust them .  Are not no loyalty in this game. Sell you out quick for a little bit of nothing … “
